Status: Originally a Clyde tug. Worked on the Tyne from 1995 to 2006. Active at Cardiff since 2006.

Type: Steel Steam Single Screw
Bollard Pull Ahead: 6t
Built: 1940
History: Launched on 23rd May 1940 as Foremost 97 for James Dredging, Towing & Transport Company Ltd., London but completed as Cardiff for the Great Western Railway Company in August 1940. Transferred to the British Transport Commission in 1948 and to the British Transport Docks Board in 1963. Sold to R. & J. H. Rea Ltd., London on 14th July 1963. Sold for scrap to J. Cashmore Ltd., Newport on 1st January 1964.

Hemel (formerly Carlgarth)
Type: Steel Steam Single Screw
Bollard Pull Ahead: 9t
Built: 1922
History: Launched on 19th October 1922 as Carlgarth for Rea Towing Company Ltd., Liverpool. On 12th November 1949, sank in Gladstone Dock entrance, Liverpool but was raised, repaired and returned to service. Sold to J. Davies Towage & Salvage Ltd., Cardiff in October 1960 and renamed Hemel in December 1960. On 14th October 1962, delivered to Thomas W. Ward Ltd., Sheffield for scrapping.
W. J. Guy & Sons
The tug Welsh Rose in Cardiff
Welsh Rose (formerly Strongbow, later Lowgarth)
Type: Steel Steam Single Screw
Bollard Pull Ahead: 5t
Built: 1927
History: Launched on 3rd May 1927 as Strongbow for Steel & Bennie Ltd., Glasgow. Sold to W. J. Guy & Sons, Cardiff in June 1960. In July 1960, sold to I. C. Guy, Cardiff. Renamed Welsh Rose in August 1960 and re-registered at Cardiff. On 30th June 1963, purchased by R. & J. H. Rea Ltd., London and later renamed Lowgarth. Sold in 1964 to Thomas W. Ward Ltd., Sheffield for scrapping.
